Mike O'Neill (on behalf of The Gateway Club) is pictured receiving a Cheque for £350 from Mike Judge (on behalf of the Pantomaniacs).

The Gateway Club have been regular audience members ever since the Pantomaniacs first started performing in the WI Hall!

They have always been a very enthusiastic audience and first to join in all the "He's behind you!" sequences and the silly songs.

The Club were very grateful for the support of the Pantomaniacs and we love their wholehearted enjoyment of our show!

Look out for more details of the Pantomaniacs next production in January, 2017, "The Princess and the Pea" written by our very own Sue Protheroe!,-------- "Oh yes it is !"

Pantomaniacs - making a difference

In the past twenty years or so Josie Cross has appeared in Dunchurch Pantomaniac productions as Wicked Witch, Good Fairy, an Ogre, the Queen, a Pirate and many other roles.

She also took the part of Madame Lafarge in the play " 'Allo, 'Allo" and appeared in another handful of shows including the Inspector Pratt comedies.

Daughter Gemma joined the Pantomaniacs chorus when she was 8 years old and graduated to principal roles prior to University studies.

An ever-present at dozens of these performances was Josie's husband / Gemma's Dad, Gordon. And when he had difficulty with the stairs at home and needed a riser chair Pantomaniac friends stepped in and were happy to help with grants towards their purchase.

Pantomaniacs - Air Ambulance 2016

The Dunchurch Pantomaniacs have long been supporters of the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance not least because one of their regular performers, Guy Watt, was rescued by the service a couple of years ago, following a serious road traffic accident on the M45. However, most of the Dunchurch residents are daily witnesses to the regular flights of the distinctive yellow helicopters as they ply their emergency services to and fro from their Baginton Airport base.

When the cast and crew were considering the recipient of their bucket collection at their annual panto in January the Air Ambulance received unanimous support.

More importantly the audiences responded by donating a record amount and on Saturday 14 May at the Dunchurch Village Hall, Paul Smith on behalf of the Pantomaniacs presented a cheque for £650 to Air Ambulance representatives: Barry and Judy Gardener, who were absolutely delighted to receive such a generous donation and offered sincere thanks to the good people of Dunchurch.
